125g butter (at room temperature)
1/2 cup sugar
1 egg
1tsp vanilla essence
2 cups flour
1 cup chocolate chips
Step 1:
Put butter and sugar in large mixing bowl and beat till light and creamy.
Step 2:
Add egg and vanilla essence to mixture and beat for approximately 2 minutes until light and creamy.
Step 3:
Fold in Flour 1/2 a cup at a time
Step 4:
Fold in chocolate chips
Step 5:
Roll cookies and place on lined baking tray, cook for approx 15 minutes on 160 Degrees Celsius or till slightly browned
Note:
For jam drops simply do not add the chocolate chips and when placing rolled cookies on tray make a small hole in the middle with your thumb and fill with jam
